FAMA Ministries (Famille Maintenant or Family Now) is a not for profit organization with a goal of rebuilding, restoring, and protecting the family. In the Great Lakes Region of Central Africa, particularly Rwanda, Congo, and Burundi, the family has been the principal victim of civil and tribal wars, massacres and genocide. Some families lost children while others lost parents. Family goods were either pillaged or destroyed. Some families had to move for safety reasons abandoning their fields and herds. Other families were ravaged by the rape of mothers and daughters. Through all this, poverty and misery became the lot of most families in the region.

FAMA seeks therefore to rebuild families in many aspects of life because families have been severely damaged in just about every way. The ministries of FAMA include material, psychological, social, and environmental restoration.

Our vision is not our own, but flows from the call of God. We rely on the power of prayer and the word of God in our work of restoring the family. We desire that the family will once again be a blessing to the world as God originally intended rather than the source of unhappiness it has become due to man’s disobedience to the word of God.
